Flixotide CFC Free Inhaler 125mcg contains the active ingredient fluticasone in a 120 metered dose inhaler. Fluticasone is an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid used to reduce inflammation in the lungs to help prevent asthma attacks (bronchoconstriction) where the symptoms are tightness, wheezing or having difficulty breathing.
Regular and typically twice daily use of Flixotide helps suppress inflammatory asthma triggers (allergens or irritants in the air) that is one of the underlying causes of asthma attacks. Using Flixotide helps to lower the need to use reliever medications such as albuterol.
Flixotide is chlorofluorocarbon free to help protect the environment.
